GGSel API: where to get the key and the seller ID
SelyaTo connect GGSel you need two things: the API key from your account and the numeric seller ID, not the nickname. The key is the password of your shop, so keep it like one.
GGSel has an open API for sellers. Through it a bot or a panel sees orders, answers buyers, changes prices and switches products off. To connect you need two things: the key and the numeric seller ID.
The API key
The key is created in the GGSel seller account, in the API section. It is the password of your shop: with it, products and prices can be changed. Keep it as you keep a password, and do not send it anywhere you do not know what will be done with it.
The seller ID
It is a number, not a nickname. Without it, orders are visible by the key, but the balance and sales cannot be read. Sometimes GGSel gives the ID by the key itself, sometimes not — then you have to enter it by hand. You can find it in the seller account.
A common mistake is mixing up the fields and pasting the ID into the key field. The “key works” check may pass while sales still cannot be read.
What the API gives and what it does not
| Through the API | Only in the account |
|---|---|
| Orders and buyers' messages, products, variants and prices, switching on and off, the fee of a product's category, balance and sales (with the seller ID), refunds | Advertising bids and impressions |
Advertising: only from the account and only 11 days
GGSel does not give advertising bids and impressions through the API. They can be read from the account with the ACCESS_TOKEN and REFRESH_TOKEN cookies. Sign in to the account in an incognito window and copy them. Then simply close the window, and do not press “Sign out”.
The main thing: GGSel keeps the bid history for only 11 days. If you do not collect it every day, the missed days cannot be brought back later, and without the history you cannot tell whether advertising pays off.
When GGSel answers slowly
There are days when the GGSel API answers with 502 and 504 errors or thinks for a long time. A good bot does not treat an error as an empty answer in those hours: it does not decide that a product has no variants and does not switch listings off, but tries again later.
