Mobile game top-ups: UID, server and region

Updated

Mobile game top-ups are sold by the player's ID. Crystals or a pass are not handed to the buyer but credited straight to their account. So the success of an order depends not on you but on how exactly the buyer sent their details. Here is where orders get lost.

What to ask the buyer

Every game has its own set. Most often it is:

Write in the listing where in the game to find these details and in what form to send them. An example line beats any explanation: “Send it like this: 12345678:Europe”.

How buyers really send the details

Not the way you asked. Our first real order on FunPay came with the message “Hi 2270887914 (6495)”. There is a greeting and the zone in brackets, and no colon. A bot that waits for a strict format will not deliver such an order, and the buyer will be sure they sent everything.

So you need two things: to understand the common forms of an answer (with a colon, a space, the zone in brackets) and, if the answer is unclear, to write to the buyer at once in what form to send it. Do not guess: an ID “pulled out” of a message at random may be someone else's, and a pack on someone else's account cannot be taken back. And do not stay silent: the buyer is sure they sent everything.

The account's region

For many games the top-up packs differ by region, and a pack for one region will not be credited to an account from another. Sometimes a supplier writes outright: this pack is not for accounts from Russia or from a number of Asian countries. We had to offer a refund on an order where a buyer with a Russian account bought a “Global” pack.

If the buyer is silent

On FunPay the buyer writes the details in the order chat after payment. Many pay and leave. The order hangs, and an hour later the buyer comes back with a complaint that nothing arrived. Remind them in the chat after 10–15 minutes and once more after about 40.

A mistake in the ID

A top-up credited to someone else's ID usually cannot be cancelled. Before delivery, check that the ID looks real: the right length, digits only where the game expects them. If something is wrong, ask again — an extra question costs less than a lost pack.

Several packs in one order

A buyer often wants not one pack but, say, crystals and a pass together. On GGSel you can add extra packs “for the same account” to a listing: the buyer ticks what they need and pays for everything in one order. It is more convenient for the buyer and gives a bigger check. On FunPay every pack is a separate listing and a separate order.
