How to sell on Plati.market

Updated

Plati.market is one of the oldest showcases of digital goods in the Russian-speaking internet. By itself it is only a showcase: the seller's products, sales and money live in the account of the Digiseller platform. So “starting to sell on Plati” means opening a Digiseller account and listing products there.

The Digiseller account

Everything is managed in the account at my.digiseller.com. That is where products and prices, sales and buyers' claims, withdrawal and advertising are. The numeric Seller ID (top right corner) and the API key, if you connect a bot, are there too. Connecting is covered in the article “Plati and the Digiseller API”.

Two ways to deliver goods

The fee: partly the buyer pays, partly you

Plati adds the fee of the payment method on top of the price. For a 20 ₽ product our test buyer paid 23.45 ₽ through SberPay. And from your price the marketplace takes its own fee. On our first sales between 87 and 91% of the price reached us.

The exact figure for each sale is visible in the Digiseller account: how much was credited to you. Put that into the price calculator, not a percentage from someone else's review.

When the money arrives

Every sale has its own unfreeze date, visible in the sale. On our sales it is about five days. For new sellers the marketplace may hold money longer. A comparison of the terms with FunPay and GGSel is in the article “When the money arrives”.

What to check in the account every day

If you also sell on other marketplaces

You can keep the same catalog on Plati, GGSel and FunPay, but the stock must be shared: when the goods run out, switch them off everywhere, or one key will be sold twice. And make separate covers and texts for Plati. Why is in the article “How not to get banned”.
