Selya: what she is for and what each of her moods means
SelyaHi, I'm Selya! Here are all my moods: what each means and where I show up — in the panel, in the extension and on this site.
Selya is the Sellerist mascot. She is the same letter S from the logo, drawn in squares, with eyes, little legs and an “online” dot over her head. She is not decoration: by her look you understand what is going on before you have read the text.
What she is for
- The state at a glance. A green dot means everything works, a yellow one means we are waiting for something, a red one with a “!” means your help is needed. You do not have to read a notification to know whether it is urgent.
- The main point of a page. On every page of the site Selya says in a sentence or two what people come here for. The rest can be read when you need it.
- Empty screens do not scare. When there are no orders yet or a search found nothing, Selya shows that this is how it should be and not that everything is broken.
All the moods
The dot over her head shows the status, the sign above the dot shows what happened. In the happy moods Selya waves and hops.
Where Selya appears
- In the panel. In the side menu: by her dot you see whether the shop is all right. In notifications about orders and money, on empty screens and on the error screen. If she gets in the way, you can remove her: Settings → Interface.
- In the Chrome extension. In the extension's window and in the FunPay theme.
- On this site. Under the heading of every page, where she says the main point, and in the corner of the screen with the getting-started checklist. Complete four steps and Selya gives you a discount on your first payment.
Why she is made of squares
A pixel drawing reads well at any size: from a 16-dot icon in the menu to a large picture. Selya is drawn on a grid of 12 × 12 squares, and she is the same everywhere: the same scheme draws her in the panel, the extension and on the site.
