Installing the panel on your own server

Updated

The Sellerist panel runs on your own server, not on ours. So all your marketplace keys, orders and conversations lie only with you. It is installed with one command, which the page shows after payment.

What you need

WhatWhich
SystemA clean Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04. It may work on another Debian-like system, but we tested these two
Memory2 GB or more. With 1 GB it starts, but barely
Disk10 GB or more. The installer refuses if less than 2.5 GB is free, and updates need room for the new image
Processor64-bit x86 (an ordinary virtual machine). Raspberry Pi and ARM servers do not fit
Ports80 and 443 free. If nginx or Apache is already on the server, take another server

Any hosting that sells virtual servers (VPS) will do. Telegram is often blocked on Russian addresses, and the panel sends notifications about orders and messages to it. If that matters to you, take a server abroad.

Step 1. Sign in to the server over SSH

The hosting sends you the server's address (IP), a login (usually root) and a password. On Windows 10 and 11 open PowerShell, on a Mac open Terminal, and type:

ssh root@server-address

When asked about the fingerprint, answer yes, then enter the password. The password is not shown as you type, that is normal.

Step 2. Paste the command

The command looks like this; your own link is on the page after payment:

curl -fsSL https://hub.sellerist.ru/i/YOUR-LINK | sudo bash

If you already have a domain for the panel (for example panel.example.com) and its A record points to the server's IP, enter the domain in the field on the payment page, and the command will include it. By hand it looks like this:

curl -fsSL https://hub.sellerist.ru/i/YOUR-LINK | sudo bash -s -- --domain panel.example.com

After that the command does everything itself, which takes a few minutes: it checks the server, downloads the panel (about 400 MB), verifies the signature, installs Docker, starts the panel and enters your subscription key into it.

Step 3. Save the password and sign in

At the end the installer prints the panel's address, a login and a password. The password is shown once. Save it in a password manager at once. If you lose it, it can be reset with a command on the server, but it is easier to write it down right away.

Open the address in a browser, sign in and connect your marketplaces: the panel leads you through the steps.

A domain and HTTPS

With a domain the panel gets a certificate by itself, and passwords travel over the network encrypted. Without a domain the panel opens at an address like http://server-IP, with no encryption. That will do to start, but it is better to add a domain: buy one, create an A record to the server's IP and run the install with --domain.

If the install stopped

Just run the same command again. What was downloaded is not downloaded again, and the password and data are kept. The command is valid for 7 days and works until the install finishes successfully.

What it saysWhat to do
Less than 2.5 GB free on the diskTake a server with a disk of 10 GB or more, or free up room (apt clean, docker image prune)
Port 80 or 443 is busyStop the program that holds it, or take a clean server
The install link does not work7 days have passed, the install was already finished, or it was downloaded three times. The bot @sellerist_extension_bot will send a new command on /install
The release signature does not matchThe install is stopped, nothing is installed. Run the command again, and if it repeats, write to support
OpenSSL 3 is neededThe system is older than Ubuntu 22.04. Take 22.04 or 24.04

What about the subscription key

The command has no key in it, so it does not stay in the terminal history. The installer gets it from us by your link and writes it into the panel's settings. The payment page shows the key for 24 hours. If you installed the panel later, open Settings → Subscription in it and enter the key by hand. You can send the key to yourself in Telegram with a button on the payment page.

Updates

When a new version comes out, the panel shows it in Settings (the “Updates” card), and the Update button does everything itself. An update also needs free disk space, which is why we advise a disk of 10 GB or more.
