Installing on a Windows computer
SelyaIt installs with a double click, no administrator rights needed. The only thing worth a minute is Windows' “unknown publisher” window.
The Sellerist panel can be installed on an ordinary Windows 10 or 11 computer, with no server to rent. All marketplace keys, orders and conversations lie on this computer. This variant has one downside, but an honest one: while the computer is off or asleep, orders are not delivered. A comparison with installing on a server.
What you need
| What | Which |
|---|---|
| System | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit |
| Memory | 4 GB or more |
| Disk | 2 GB of free space or more: the program takes about 0.5 GB, the rest is for the database, copies and updates |
| Rights | No administrator needed: Sellerist installs into your user folder |
| Internet | A constant connection. Without it the panel does not get orders from the marketplaces |
| Computer | The one that will be on when you sell. A desktop, or a laptop on charge, is best |
Step 1. Download the installer
SHA-256 checksum:
The file is called Sellerist-Setup-version.exe and is about 40 MB. The key is needed later, in the app's first window: it is given out after payment, and to get to know the panel you can take a free trial day — the key appears on that page at once.
Step 2. Run it and get past the Windows warning
Most likely Windows will show a blue “Windows protected your PC” window and say “Unknown publisher”. That happens with any program without a paid signing certificate, and Sellerist does not have one yet. Press “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
If you want to make sure the file is the right one, open PowerShell in the folder with the downloaded file and run:
Get-FileHash .\Sellerist-Setup-version.exe -Algorithm SHA256
The result must match the checksum written next to the download button. And updates inside the app itself are checked by the developer's signature and are not installed without it.
Step 3. Installation
The installer asks two questions: whether to start Sellerist with Windows and whether you want a shortcut on the desktop. It is better to leave the first on: after a restart the panel starts by itself as soon as you sign in to Windows. If the computer has no Microsoft Edge WebView2 component (Windows 11 has it), the installer downloads it itself. It is the window in which the panel is shown.
The program is installed into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Sellerist, and your data lies separately, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Sellerist. An update or a reinstall does not touch it.
Step 4. The first sign-in
The Sellerist window opens. Enter the subscription or trial-day key (it is on the payment page or on the /trial page) and connect your marketplaces: the panel leads you through the steps. After that you can close the window with the cross: the panel keeps working in the tray, the icon next to the clock.
So that orders keep being delivered
- While the app is running, it does not let the computer fall asleep (the screen may go dark). This is on by default, and you switch it off with the “Keep the PC awake” item in the tray icon's menu.
- A closed laptop lid follows Windows' own settings. In Settings → System → Power & battery set closing the lid to “Do nothing”.
- “Exit” in the icon's menu stops the panel completely. If you just want to put the window away, close it with the cross.
- After a restart the panel starts when you have signed in to Windows, not when the computer turned on. While the password screen is showing, it does not work.
- Plati and GGSel send paid orders to our server, and the panel picks them up from there by itself: a home computer has no address on the internet. While the computer is off, Plati tells the buyer that the seller is not online, and the payment does not go through. If you sent the subscription key to the bot @sellerist_extension_bot, it writes to you in Telegram after 10 minutes of the panel's silence and again when it is back.
If the computer was off after all, once it starts the panel looks through the sales made in the meantime and shows a banner: how many orders came and what happened to them. It does not deliver orders paid more than 30 minutes ago by itself, because you may have delivered them by hand. They wait in Orders.
If the install or the start did not go well
| What happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| The Windows window has no “Run anyway” button | Close the window, right-click the file, Properties, tick “Unblock” at the bottom and press OK. Then run the file again |
| An antivirus deleted or blocked the file | Antiviruses sometimes suspect programs without a paid certificate for no reason. Add the file to the exceptions and download it again. If that did not help, write to support |
| The window is empty or shows a WebView2 error | Open the menu of the Sellerist tray icon (if you do not see it, press the arrow next to the clock) and choose “Open in the browser”: the panel works the same |
| There is no icon after a restart | Open Sellerist from the Start menu. When the icon appears, check in its menu that “Start with Windows” is ticked |
| The download broke off or did not start | Press the “Download for Windows” button again: the link is permanent. If that did not help, write to support |
| You forgot the panel's password | In the icon's menu choose “Reset the panel login…”: the window signs in by itself, and you can set a new password in the settings |
Updates and copies
When a new version comes out, the panel shows it in Settings → Subscription. The Update button downloads the version, saves a copy of the database and restarts the app for a couple of minutes. If the new version did not start, the previous one comes back together with the database. Copies of the data are in Settings → Backups: connect cloud storage there, because if the disk breaks, the copies on the computer itself vanish with it.
Uninstalling
Settings → Apps → Sellerist → Uninstall. The uninstaller asks whether to delete the data. If you plan to install Sellerist again, press “No”: orders, settings and marketplace keys stay in the data folder.
